SERVICES
Whether you are looking to reconfigure your existing space, perhaps add an extension, or even something larger, TN7 Architecture can offer a range of design services tailored to your needs.
We will start with a simple telephone consultation in order to discuss your requirements and the scope of the project. This will usually be followed by a site visit to enable us to get a feel for the existing property and understand its immediate surroundings and wider context, as well as getting to know you and finding out what is important to you.
We will talk through your vision and help to guide you through each stage of the design process, helping to turn your ideas into thoughtfully designed spaces that suit your lifestyle.
PROCESS
Every project is guided through a clear, step-by-step process. From the initial design ideas through to the project handover, the aim is to make the design and approvals process straight-forward, practical, and tailored to you.
STAGE 1
Preparation & Brief
After an initial telephone call, we will arrange a site visit to discuss your ideas and requirements for the project. This will then be formalised into a design brief and fee quote which will set out the context and scope of the project for you to agree before we proceed.
STAGE 2
Concept Design
Feasibility studies will be created to explore layout, form and style. These drawings will show different options, helping you to visualise the possibilities and shape the direction of the project.
STAGE 3
Design Development
Once a design has been agreed, the drawings can be developed ready for planning submission to the Local Authority (LA), alongside other supporting documentation, as required. We will advise on any surveys or other input needed from third party consultants during this stage in order to meet the LA requirements.
STAGE 4
Technical Design
Once planning approval has been obtained, the drawings are developed in detail, often in coordination with third party consultants, for example Structural and Civil Engineers. These drawings will allow builders to prepare accurate cost estimates and undertake the construction.
STAGE 5
Construction
At this stage, the builders will usually have sufficient information in order to proceed, however we are on hand to answer any queries which may arise during construction.
STAGE 6
Handover
This stage would generally not require our involvement, with the exception of larger projects.
